1. Schedule of tasks, people, and completion dates

   DeTar, Mawhinney: (A3) and (B2), i.e. Dslash looks like too much
     on our platter before the Jlab meeting
   Edwards: (B3) needed for SZIN production code - had student
       working on this.
   Brower: Would be nice to have at least an illustration of concept

2. Level 1 MP-API

   Discussion of recent MILC questions about API

   Watson: High performance - flavor is that of a remote memory write.
   DeTar: Is this ideal for QCDOC high performance?
   Mawhinney: Need to study this.
   Watson: Performance was the highest priority.
   Brower: Is it desirable to provide a subset of MPI, even if
     lower performance?  This was promised at the BNL meeting last fall.
   Edward: Need to provide an MPI implementation for users who
     write to the interface and want to run on MPI-only machines.
   Mawhinney: Why not just make the generalized part of the MP
     interface to be just MPI, rather than our own?
   Watson: We would like a uniform set of conventions for calling
     them.
   DeTar: So then we need access both via an MPI interface and
     the lower level interface.
   Brower: We all seem to agree that we focus on the high performance
     part of the interface first and leave the lower performance
     to later this Winter.
   Watson: With low-perf could allow searching the FIFO for source node
   DeTar: And message type
   Pochinsky: Is there enough in the interface to be able to get MPI?
   Mawhinney: Questions about what declareBuffer does.
   Watson: No allocation - just declaring addresses - should find a
     better name.
** Brower: Would be good to have an example with detailed
     explanation of what happens in a send.
   Mawhinney: Communication Declarations and Operations are
     highest priority for QCDOC
** Watson: Will answer remaining DeTar and Mendes questions via e-mail
     Will add details to MP API document explaining what happens in
     these calls and relevance to QCDOC.
   Edwards: Jlab meeting accommodations: see Jlab web site
     for web reservations at Jlab guest facility.
