Centrifugal escape

Release ball on a string

Equipment:

Theory: A ball being swirled in a horizontal circle has a force toward the center from the tension. When the string is let go, does this mean the ball flies out from the center? No! It simply carries on in the way it was going, perpendicular to the radius, as it was let go.

Description: Just be careful not to hit anyone in the audience when you let go!

Setup time: 1 minute
